Absolute Value Stations

Did you teach absolute value? You need these absolute value stations for your middle school math students. Students will understand absolute value as a distance from zero with the use of number lines, compare integers and absolute value numbers, analyze absolute value in the real-world, and do these with fun and engaging activities such as puzzles, mystery pictures, and letter writing.
Stations Included
- Understanding Absolute Value: Students will understand absolute value as the the measure of a number from zero on a number line.
- Absolute Value Comparisons: Students will color a fun mystery picure while evaluting comparing values of integers and absolute value wiht <, >, or =.
- Absolute Value Puzzle: Students will basic absolute value expressions to assemble a puzzle.
- Applied Absolute Value: Students will analyze absolute value in the real-world.
- Letter Writing: Students will write a letter to their friend about everything they know about absolute value.
These would also be great to use as homework, group work or assessments.
