St Patricks Day Middle School Math Finding Slope Activity

Check out this fun middle school math activity for St. Patrick's Day. Students create a shamrock puzzle by calculating the slope given two points. Students will cut out the 14 shapes, find the slope between 2 points and match the side with the slope. The result of the puzzle will be a fun shamrock.

Also includes an optional extension activity. In a four-questions writing worksheets, students will explain their understanding about calculating slope.

This activity is great for individual, pairs, or a small group activity. You can also send it home as a fun homework assignment and have the students glue the puzzle onto a piece of paper and color their shamrock.
